At TQL, our Logistics Account Executives (LAE) are the backbone of our organization. They are the driving force that allows us to exceed customer expectations and continue our rapid organizational growth.
Being part of a $120 billion industry means that there is a lot of room for expansion. To further fuel our growth and make an even bigger impact in our industry, we need committed and hard-working individuals to help us take advantage of the opportunities in the marketplace.
As a Logistics Account Executive (LAE), you will act as the liaison between your client, the trucking carrier, and the receiver.
You negotiate fair rates with both the client and the carrier based on the type of commodity, season, distance, time of travel, and location of pickup and delivery.
You also manage the movement of the client's goods, ensuring they are picked up and delivered on time and to the client's satisfaction.
As an LAE, you build a portfolio of clients by actively researching and seeking out prospects. You develop relationships with these clients and strengthen your client base by providing excellent customer service.
With the guidance and support of your Group Sales Manager and Sales Team Leader, your opportunity for success as an LAE is unlimited. And, as you become more successful, you have the ability to add support personnel to help manage your accounts and drive your business forward.
Successful LAEs come from all different backgrounds and experiences, but most of our LAEs share some of the same characteristics and attributes.
- Work Ethic--They are self-motivated and work hard to get the job done in a new and creative way.
- Passion & Drive--They possess the internal passion and drive necessary to push themselves toward success.
- Persistence--They persevere through inevitable setbacks and disappointments and work hard to bounce back and perform to the best of their abilities.
- Confidence & Optimism--They believe, at all times, that they can accomplish whatever they put their minds to, regardless of how daunting the task.
- Adapt & Overcome--They are able to effectively problem solve any issues that arise and adapt to our ever-changing situations and environment.
- Courage--They aren't afraid to take risks and always choose the harder right over the easier wrong.
