At Total Quality Logistics, our priority is developing skilled sales leaders. Our sales organization consists of close to 500 professionals, and our Logistics Sales Management Training Program is designed to prepare each one of them for a successful sales career at TQL.
- Lasts approximately six months
- Includes a mix of classroom and hands-on instruction
- Provides one-on-one guidance by professional trainers and senior-level TQL sales professionals
As part of the program, you will develop a comprehensive knowledge of the logistics industry, the elements that give Total Quality Logistics a competitive advantage, and sales techniques to help you build a successful and rewarding sales career. As you progress through the program, you will learn how to maximize your earning potential and gain additional leadership responsibilities.
You will begin the program in the position of Logistics Account Executive Trainee (LAET). As you master the skills necessary to succeed, you will earn a promotion to the position of Logistics Account Executive (LAE).
As a Logistics Account Executive (LAE), you will act as the liaison between your client, the trucking carrier, and the receiver.

You negotiate fair rates with both the client and the carrier based on the type of commodity, season, distance and time of travel, and location of pickup and delivery.
You also manage the movement of the client's goods, ensuring they are picked up and delivered on time and to the client's satisfaction.
As an LAE, you build a portfolio of clients by actively researching and seeking out prospects. You develop relationships with these clients and strengthen your client base by providing excellent customer service.
With the guidance and support of senior-level sales professionals, your opportunity for success as an LAE is unlimited. And, as you become more successful, you have the opportunity to add support personnel to help manage your accounts and drive your business forward.
